Flaxseed is naturally rich in lignans—plant compounds that have been studied in relation to women’s health. Research is still developing, so flax should be treated as a nutritious food, not a hormone treatment.

GoldenFlax founder Greg Grahn believed exceptional flax began with carefully managed soil and a mineral-focused growing approach.
Today, Tveit Brothers Farms grows our golden flaxseed on Roseau-area land – the same land where founder Greg Grahn’s crop was grown – now leased from Greg’s longtime business partner, Mitchell.
Tveit Brothers Farms carries Greg’s soil-first philosophy forward, adapting a blend of minerals to the land he farms today.
Co-owner Andy Hutchinson grew up in his father’s flour mill and brings a lifetime of grain, milling, and grain-business experience to GoldenFlax.
Co-owner Laura Huffman first met Greg at a trade show and later worked with him to develop Oh Mega Daily, an easy-to-drink flax mix. The product is currently sold in Indonesia but is not yet available in the United States.
Ownership has changed, but GoldenFlax remains rooted in the same land, relationships, and commitment to carefully handled golden flaxseed.

Our golden flaxseed is grown and cleaned in Roseau, Minnesota by Tveit Brothers Farms. The fresh seed is transported in large totes to our Hyde Park, Utah facility, where GoldenFlax mills, packages, and ships every order.
Our facility does not process wheat or other major allergens. Because we handle the flax ourselves and do not sell through conventional retail distribution, we maintain direct accountability from the freshest, great flavored seed to the finished package.
Keep the package tightly sealed and follow the storage directions printed on the product. Refrigerating or freezing ground flaxseed can help preserve freshness.
